  FLAMINGO The flamingo is a large colourful bird found both in South America and Africa. The flamingo is also found in the warmer areas of southern Europe and western Asia. The flamingo stays in flocks of up to around 200 birds and feeds on fish in stiller rivers and lakes. The flamingo usually gets to about 30 years old although it is not uncommon for some flamingos to get to 50 years old. Most species of flamingo are a pinky/orange colour, some however can be white, black or even blue. The colour of the flamingo comes from the flamingo eating a type of algae that then turns the flamingo into the bright pink bird that we are so familiar with.. The flamingo is often seen on the banks of the lake standing on one leg. The flamingo is actually sleeping when it is on one leg but the strange thing is, that only half of the flamingo is actually asleep the half that contains the leg still standing remains active. NARRATIVE TEXT

  FABLE once upon a time, there was a cat that lived in a field beside a white river.  He often wished that he could swim. Because, that way, might cross the river, reaching the large and well stocked pigeon house, which was on the other side. Cat : "If only I knew someone who could swim and who liked sweet juicy corn". Because the delectable golden corn really is wasted on those fat foolish pigeons. Horse : "what a coincidence. I am thinking of swimming cross the river to graze on some of that lovely ripening corn on the other side" Picturing the feast he would have, the cat made a proposition. "Maybe you could give me a ride on your back?" And in next to no time the horse and the cat were in the water. On the opposite bank, the horse slowly started to Graze.  While the cat immediately leapt upon the pigeons. In just a few seconds, the cat had caught several birds.  In a few seconds more, he had gorged himself, and in a mater of minute, he was fit to burs

1. Legend        A legend is a folk prose story that is considered by the owner of the story to be a genuine event that has actually happened. Sangkuriang : The Legend of Tangkuban Perahu. Once upon a time, there are a god and goddess which were detained for breaking the rules. They both then were sentenced to live the rest of their life in the world while doing good deeds. During their time on earth the God was turned into a dog named Tumang and the the Goddess turned into a swine named Wayung Hyang. Tumang was owned by a king named Sumbing Prabangkara and live in the palace. Both become good friend, and stick like a glue. One day, King Sumbing decided to go for hunt to the nearest forest. Apparently, it’s the forest where Wayung Hyang lives. At the forest, the king needed to do his thing, and apparently his pee was cupped in a coconut shell. Little did they know, Wayung Hyang who felt thirsty and found the ‘water’ in coconut shell drank it and she became pregnant. 9 month after the p
